Kurpfälzischer Zehnthof

In a central village location, the representative building of the Palatine Zehnthof.
It was in 1753 by Elector Carl Theodor of the Palatinate (reigned 1743-1799) designed by the court architect Sigismund Zeller (1680-1764).

A special feature is the combination of a tithe to the residence of the Catholic priest in the same building.
1751 1759 from the Commissioner for Gleisweiler pastor Johann Anton Martin leaves was - looking for a suitable home - essential initiators for the construction of the house.

The entrance to the former rectory located on the upper slope in today Badstraße and mediates the eingeschössigen view of a relatively modest impression of the house.

In the rooms of the museum today's paper was until 1793 the tithe wine cellar of the Elector Carl Theodor.
During the struggles of revolutionary France against Prussia and Austria (1792-1797) the house and the cellars were plundered and destroyed.

With the abolition of tithes in 1797 lost the Zehnthof its proper destination. The apartment of the priest in the 3rd Stock was obtained by 2003 in their function. Today it is privately rented.

In the summer months the garden with the sculptures of the track because artists and Prof. David Herbert Lawrence Lauer guests and visitors to stay.
